My name is Goolam Malek, and I’m proud to be the founder and director of The Globetrotter — a travel company born from a lifelong passion for exploration and a deep-rooted legacy in the travel industry.

My journey began in 2007 as an admin clerk, where I discovered the joy of helping people experience the world. With time, hard work, and a growing desire to make a difference, I advanced to management roles and pursued academic growth, earning a Diploma in Business Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Travel runs in my blood. My father was a pioneer in the South African travel scene during the 1990s and early 2000s — a name many still remember. Inspired by his example and shaped by my own global experiences, I launched The Globetrotter in 2022, in the wake of the pandemic — one of the most challenging times our industry has ever faced.
